Albuquerque had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 5-17 to make it four. They fell 20-16 to the West Mesa Mustangs. On the bright side, the 16- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring match to date.
Gabriel Pohl was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
