The Greensburg Salem Golden Lions''s six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over South Allegheny. The victory was just what Greensburg Salem needed coming off of a 48-13 loss in their prior game.
Greensburg Salem's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Rosensteel, who picked up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rosensteel's longest reception was for an incredible 93 yards. Brady Smith was another key contributor, rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why South Allegheny lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cameron Epps. Despite the final result, he rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
Greensburg Salem's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for South Allegheny, their loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
Greensburg Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Allegheny also has no future games currently scheduled.
