Anson's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Parkwood 38-0 at home. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won three matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Anson had a senior duo take command as Kendrick Maye gained 110 total yards and four touchdowns and Jazear Griffin rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Piedmont came up short against West Stanly on Friday and fell 33-20.
Despite the loss, Piedmont saw an underclassman step up: Cooper Wise picked up 134 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 79 yards. Jack Blakeslee was another key player, throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory got Anson back to even at 3-3. As for Piedmont, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.
Thursday's contest might be decided in the on the ground. Anson has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 190.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Piedmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 149.8. It's looking like Thursday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
