Meanwhile, Union got the win against Lakewood on Thursday by a conclusive 12-1. The victory was just what Union needed coming off of a 13-3 defeat in their prior matchup.
Union got a massive performance out of Chloe Smith, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Smith, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Rosewood is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Union, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
