The Eagleville Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eagleville also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
Eagleville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Snitzer, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Despite the loss, Cornersville still got an impressive performance from Ben Franklin, who rushed for 300 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Franklin really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Community and 2-8 Huntland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34% over those games). As for Cornersville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
