Nick Karlen and Reggie Moody provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Williamsport. The longest such play in Monocacy Valley - Antietam this season, the connection resulted in 79 yards.
South Hagerstown was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Smithsburg. The Rebels came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
North Hagerstown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Karlen threw for 121 and two touchdowns and Moody had 79 yards receiving. On the ground Preston Carey chipped in 188 yards. Tre Anderson helped North Hagerstown's passing attack out by catching one ball for 42 yards.
North Hagerstown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hubs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Karlen has thrown for 639 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Anderson has 15 catches for 263 yards. Kyle Hewlett leads the league in rushing with 507 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Catoctin takes on South Hagerstown. At the moment, the Cougars are in fourth, while Toby Peer's team is in first.
The Rebels extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Antietam this week by beating the Leopards, 38-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for South Hagerstown.
