The Highland Hawks will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the O'Connor Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Highland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully O'Connor likes a good challenge.
Even though Desert Vista scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Highland still came out on top. Highland walked away with a 65-56 victory over Desert Vista. That's two games straight that Highland has won by exactly nine points.
Highland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ty Crandall, who scored 22 points. Crandall continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Johnson, who scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, O'Connor faced Sunnyslope in a battle between two of the state's top teams. O'Connor had to suffer through a rough 80-51 loss at the hands of Sunnyslope. O'Connor has not had much luck with Sunnyslope recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Highland strolled past O'Connor in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 by a score of 61-46. Does Highland have another victory up their sleeve, or will O'Connor turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
