The Dawson Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Axtell with points to spare, taking the game 68-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dawson.
Dawson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Allen, who scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least a third of Dawson's points. Hastin Easley was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Dawson has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Axtell, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dawson will challenge Mart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mart is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Axtell, they will head out on the road to challenge Hubbard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
