Jenks Invitational Tournament: Hosts upset by Edmond Santa Fe
It appeared the highly-anticipated shootout between Jenks and Tulsa Union, originally rescheduled due to weather, was looming before its original reschedule date of Feb. 9.
Both teams were taking part in the Jenks Invitational Tournament, which ran from Thursday to Saturday. Too bad Edmond Santa Fe spoiled the party.
In the J.I.T. semifinals, Santa Fe used 14 points from junior Nic Combs in a 45-43 upset of the hosts. Despite 21 points and eight rebounds from Vince Boncaldo, Jenks shot just 33 percent from the field in the loss.
Union eventually won the tournament with a 52-44 victory over Santa Fe. Texas A&M signee Derrek Lewis scored 18 points, while junior guard Tom Becker added 10 for the Redskins. Combs tallied 22 points in the loss for the Wolves.
Lewis, Becker, Boncaldo, and Combs were named to the all-tournament team. Also named were Joey Atkinson of Santa Fe and Enid's Jeff Adderley.
Creekmore, Ingram Boost Tulsa Edison
The combination of Will Creekmore and Josh Ingram was too much to handle for Tulsa Bishop Kelley in an 85-70 loss to Tulsa Edison.
Creekmore poured in 33 points and ripped down 11 rebounds, while Ingram added 31 points for Edison. Creekmore was the Tournament MVP, while Ingram drilled 6 of 7 from behind the three-point arc while scoring 25 first half points. To further add to the Bishop Kelley nightmare, Creekmore and Ingram combined for 45 of Edison's 46 first half points.

Eddie Williams scored 23 points to lead the Eagles, while De'von Bailey added 15. For Douglass, junior Ricky Hill hit for a game-high 24 points.
