In what's become a running theme this season, the Diego Rivera Huskies gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Dr. Maya Angelou Community 62-27 at home. The win was just what Diego Rivera needed coming off of a 85-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Diego Rivera to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Cole, who scored 20 points. Cristopher Zamora was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Diego Rivera's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Diego Rivera won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Jefferson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Dr. Maya Angelou Community won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Adams at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully West Adams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Wednesday.
