After flying high against the Sweet Grass County Sheepherders last Saturday, the Jefferson Panthers came back down to earth. Jefferson fell 59-51 to Three Forks on Thursday. Jefferson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Three Forks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dalton Noble, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The game was Noble's third in a row with at least ten points. Colt Tietje was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Jefferson's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Three Forks, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Manhattan at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Three Forks will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on January 19, 2024.
