The New Castle Trojans will be playing at home against the Centerville Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for New Castle at home against the Yellow Jackets as the squad secured a 67-26 victory. That looming 67-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for New Castle yet this season.
New Castle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Miller out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. Colin Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Centerville proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 29) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Winchester Community out 46-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centerville.
New Castle's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
