After two games on the road, Honeoye is heading back home. They will take on the Geneva Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Honeoye comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Honeoye was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-24 to Lima Christian. Honeoye has struggled against Lima Christian recently, as their game on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Geneva scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by North Rose-Wolcott at home to the tune of 55-26. Geneva has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 29 points or more this season.
Honeoye has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Geneva, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
Honeoye didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Geneva in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 30-26 win. Will Honeoye repeat their success, or does Geneva have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
