The Chambers Cougars are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Rabun County Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on December 20th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Chambers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harding University 71-20 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Chambers has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chambers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Simpson, who scored 18 points. The game was Simpson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade? Kerr, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rabun County came up short against Lakeview Academy last Saturday and fell 67-58. While losing is never fun, Rabun County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Lakeview Academy is ranked 13th).
Chambers' win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Rabun County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-3.
