Basketball Recap: Leipsic Beats Hardin Northern for Their Third Straight Victory

Leipsic put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Hardin Northern Polar Bears with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Polar Bears, too.

Hardin Northern lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Xander Wilson, who posted 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Hopson, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Leipsic's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hardin Northern, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leipsic will take on Liberty-Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty-Benton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Leipsic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hardin Northern, they will square off against North Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hardin Northern is facing North Baltimore at the right time seeing as North Baltimore is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
