The Tahoma Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Auburn Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tahoma has 13 straight victories, Auburn has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Tahoma made easy work of Stadium and carried off a 13-1 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Alexa Ramirez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Mia Hammington was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. She has been hot, having posted at least one triple the last five times she's played. Kalani Higa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Tahoma hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stadium struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, Auburn fell victim to Kentridge and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Tahoma pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
Auburn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tahoma hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. It's a different story for Auburn, though, as they've only averaged .187. Will they be able to contain Tahoma's hitters?
Everything went Tahoma's way against Auburn in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Tahoma made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
