If the Pleasanton Bulldogs were feeling good off their 54-27 takedown of the Ansley/Litchfield Spartans last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasanton had to suffer through a rough 58-25 loss at the hands of Elm Creek. Pleasanton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-14.
Pleasanton lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cassidee Paitz, who scored four points along with seven rebounds. Jaycee Flood was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ashley Bauer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Elm Creek, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Cavenee, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Pleasanton now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Elm Creek, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Kenesaw the next time they take the court. Pleasanton will host Kenesaw at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Elm Creek will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
