After a string of three wins, the Shakamak Lakers's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern Greene. Shakamak has struggled against Eastern Greene recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Eastern Greene got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keylee Hudson out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Hudson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallorie Elliott, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Shakamak's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Eastern Greene, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

As for Eastern Greene, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bloomington South at 1:30 p.m. Bloomington South is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
