1A District 7 recap November 13, 2013
Dixie County added to the longest winning streak in 1A District 7 this week by beating Lafayette, 41-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Chiefland took down Beacon of Hope Christian 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alphonso Timmons ran for 94 yards during the win.
Newberry's dynamic duo of Alex Wilkins and Monte Seabrook proved tough for Chiles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilkins threw for 39 yards and 1 touchdown and Seabrook had 34 yards receiving.
Timmons was a passing and rushing force as the Indians defeated the Eagles.
Union County's Caleb Cox and Princeton Alexander led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cox has thrown for 1,318 yards this season, while Alexander has 17 catches for 280 yards. Chiefland's Timmons leads the league in rushing yards with 1,080.
In 107 carries Keith Neal has accumulated 930 yard this year.
The Fightin' Tigers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Eagle's View.
