After flying high against the Caddo Mills Foxes last Friday, the Kaufman Lions came back down to earth. Kaufman fell 52-39 to Farmersville on Tuesday. Kaufman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Farmersville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Kaufman saw an underclassman step up: Kaylee Wrenn scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals. Lillie Reven was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Kaufman's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-13. As for Farmersville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-16.
Kaufman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Farmersville also has no future games currently scheduled.
