Football Recap: Weiser Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

If Cole Valley Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Weiser, they should've done a better job of containing Garrett Walker. The Wolverines simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Chargers 38-6 for which the team can thank Walker, who rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and one TD. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.

Weiser is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.4 points on average over those games. As for Cole Valley Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Weiser is set to square off against their familiar foe Fruitland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,032 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian will take on rival Payette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
