Nate Lord made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brody Majeski was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Twin Valley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nate DiRocco, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Twin Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wilson and Fleetwood, and Wilson kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
Wilson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tim Lengle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Twin Valley's record now sits at 8-5. As for Wilson, their record is now 10-4.
Twin Valley couldn't quite get it done against Wilson in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
