There's no place like home for the Oakland Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over Rockvale on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oakland also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Oakland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alonna Poole, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Wisniewski, who scored 13 points.
Rockvale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayeden Wilkerson, who scored 15 points along with four steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Wilkerson posted two or more blocks. Kailah Crawford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Oakland's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Rockvale, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will take on Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverdale is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Rockvale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Siegel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Siegel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Rockvale is ranked 97th).
