Menlo-Atherton lost to Los Gatos 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brian Keare was a bright spot for the Bears, as he threw for 173 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.
Sacred Heart Prep made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,561 from 1,957. The improvement was the result of a 34-7 victory over Monterey last week.
Menlo-Atherton's dynamic duo of Keare and Oliver Bucka proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Spiro Papadakis helped Menlo-Atherton's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 46 yards.
Paul Westcott was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Gators beat the Toreadores. The 6-foot-1 senior grabbed 1 sack.
Terra Nova's Anthony Gordon and Jaylen Jones led Peninsula - Bay in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Gordon has thrown for 3,406 yards this season, while Jones has 66 catches for 1,186 yards. Sione Taufoou's team's Isiah Nash leads the league in rushing yards with 1,326.
Sacred Heart Prep's Ricky Grau needs only 45 yards against Pacific Grove next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 132 carries Grau has accumulated 955 yard this year.
Pete Lavorato's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Monterey. Ben Burr-Kirven ran for 112 yards and caught 1 pass for 24 yards during the win.
