Despite the loss, Douglass still got an impressive performance from makhye mcknight, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points mcknight has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Carson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Douglass dropped their record down to 7-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Gwynn Park, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Douglass will look to defend their home court on Monday against Largo at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Largo's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Gwynn Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oxon Hill at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Oxon Hill has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
