After losing to the Harvest Prep Warriors the last time they met, the St. Francis DeSales Stallions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. St. Francis DeSales snuck past Harvest Prep with a 48-44 victory on Saturday.
Harvest Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MoNae Gamble, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Gamble has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Maliyah Lofton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and four steals.
St. Francis DeSales is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Harvest Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.
St. Francis DeSales will head out on the road to take on Hilliard Bradley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Francis DeSales is coming into the contest with five straight wins on the road, so Hilliard Bradley is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Harvest Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harvest Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
