It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Geneva can now relate to. They were beaten by Cypress Christian 55-6 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, Geneva couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jacob Rosenstiel threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. Brady Chandler was his top target, picking up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cypress Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cypress Christian will face off against Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. Holy Cross is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
