Basketball Recap: Savannah Ball and Olivia Bazemore Secure Win for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Victory Christian 47-45. That's two games straight that Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has won by exactly two points.

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy was led to victory by Olivia Bazemore and Savannah Ball. Bazemore went 7-for-13 on her way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Ball dropped a double-double with 13 points and 19 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Bazemore has scored at least a third of Bethel Assembly Christian Academy's points. Millie Johnson was another key player, putting up four points.

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.33 points across that stretch. As for Victory Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
