This season hasn't been kind to the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a 62-43 bruising from Unity Reed on Tuesday. Osbourn Park has not had much luck with Unity Reed recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Unity Reed's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charles Pargo, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Pargo has scored at least 25% of Unity Reed's points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Powell, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Osbourn Park's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7-1. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for Unity Reed, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osbourn Park will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Osbourn at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Unity Reed will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
