The Ypsilanti Grizzlies waltzed into their contest Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lincoln 62-7 at home. With that win, Ypsilanti brought their scoring average up to 53.3 points per game.
SYLVER BOWLES was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 18 points along with eight assists and five steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Charity Hurt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Ypsilanti pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ypsilanti will be home for the holidays to greet Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Haven at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
