It was a good run, but Hart County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Nelson County Cardinals by a score of 6-5. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Austin Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maddox Gower, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Hart County's loss dropped their record down to 16-19-1. As for Nelson County, their record now sits at 18-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart County will host Thomas Nelson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nelson County, they will square off against North Bullitt at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
