Lawrence-Nelson has won four straight games at home, while Elmwood-Murdock has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Raiders will host the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lawrence-Nelson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Osceola 59-14.

Wyatt Frey produced another solid effort rushing for 212 yards and three scores while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 167.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jackson Williams was another key player, rushing for 76 yards and one TD on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lawrence-Nelson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 290 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Another reason for the win was Lawrence-Nelson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brandt Mclaughlin, Cooper Heikkinen, and Caden Culbertson, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Elmwood-Murdock took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-14 win over Bancroft-Rosalie. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.
Lawrence-Nelson better keep an eye on Brody Marsh. He was instrumental in Elmwood-Murdock's win, rushing for 203 yards and three scores while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Dashiell Coleman, who rushed for 90 yards.
Elmwood-Murdock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Clayton Fletcher.
Elmwood-Murdock's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lawrence-Nelson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 267.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Elmwood-Murdock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 267.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
