The Goshen RedHawks were the 60-44 winner over the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Goshen fell just short of Plymouth by a score of 40-38.
Goshen's lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyra Hill, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Hill's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Rosie Herrera was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Plymouth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lena Jones, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rylee Mann, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen will take on West Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Noble will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Goshen is ranked 136th). As for Plymouth, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Warsaw at 7:45 p.m. on December 9th.
