Basketball Recap: Drew Skates Past Forest Park with Ease

Drew was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Forest Park on Friday. Drew simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Forest Park Panthers 50-5. Drew has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Drew got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zy'Naizaha Mitchell out in front who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave Mitchell a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kryistina Boyd, who put up 12 points.

Drew's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7. As for Forest Park, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Drew has already played their next contest, a 67-36 win against McNair on the 25th. As for Forest Park, they will venture away from home to challenge Mays at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Park is facing Mays at the right time seeing as Mays is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
