On Monday, Bozeman took a serious blow against Holmes County, falling 72-44.
Emma Whitaker was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals for Holmes County. That makes it three consecutive games in which Whitaker has scored at least 25% of Holmes County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Tate, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Bozeman now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Holmes County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bozeman will face off against Graceville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Graceville's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Bozeman's offense will have their work cut out for Bozeman. As for Holmes County, they will head out on the road to face off against Freeport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Freeport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
