The Beavercreek Beavers will face off against the Fairmont Firebirds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Beavercreek will be strutting in after a victory while Fairmont will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Beavercreek turned things around against Springfield on Friday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 8-4.

Viera Barrett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Barrett was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Makayla Shade was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Selena Knight was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Beavercreek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted a batting average of .320.
Meanwhile, Fairmont suffered their closest loss since April 16th on Saturday. They fell just short of Talawanda by a score of 5-3. The Firebirds' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Carlee Netherton was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Beavercreek's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Fairmont, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beavercreek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Fairmont struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
