The Trinity Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Trinity Christian posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-28 win over Caurus Academy at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian.
Meanwhile, Wickenburg Christian Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past BASIS - Prescott 73-36 on the road. Wickenburg Christian Academy pushed the score to 61-34 by the end of the third, a deficit BASIS - Prescott had little chance of recovering from.
It was another big night for Evan Gustin, who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Calden Dickinson, who scored ten points along with three steals and two blocks.
Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Christian against Wickenburg Christian Academy in their previous meeting on January 11th as the squad secured a 56-19 victory. With Trinity Christian ahead 38-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
