The Sedan Devils had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over Erie. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ethan Dillinger and Reid Duff certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Dillinger dropped a double-double on 28 points and 19 rebounds, while Duff dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Dillinger has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 12 times he's played.
Sedan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Sedan will be playing at home against Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sedan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to square off against Eureka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eureka is coming into the matchup with six straight wins at home, so Erie is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
