Edmond Memorial dropped their record down to 26-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Olathe West Owls by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Olathe West, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.0 runs this season.

For Olathe West's part, Max Hamilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Olathe West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Sahrmann, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Edmond Memorial will challenge Blue Valley Northwest at 11:15 a.m. on Friday.
