Tri County Area has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Morley Stanwood Mohawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Tri County Area pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grant. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tri County Area in their matchups with Grant: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite their defeat, Tri County Area saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Andrew Lenon, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lenon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trenton McNees, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Morley Stanwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 71-58 to Newaygo. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tri County Area bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Morley Stanwood, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-9.
Tri County Area barely slipped by Morley Stanwood when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 54-53. Will Tri County Area repeat their success, or does Morley Stanwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
