Carson is 9-1 against Concord since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Spiders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Carson barely beat Robinson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kendal Sifford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Carson is 5-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carson Kirk, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Corbin Hales, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Concord hadn't done well against Robinson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spiders blew past the Bulldogs 12-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spiders considering their one-run performance the game before.
Maxwell Pryduluk was incredible, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Barrett, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Carson pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Carson took their victory against Concord in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
