Volleyball Recap: Statesboro's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Statesboro won the last time they faced Islands and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Statesboro not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Islands between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.

Zoey Hudgens paced Statesboro's offense, picking up eight kills. Hudgens got some help from Phoebe Hansen and her 21 assists.

Statesboro's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Islands, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6.

Coincidentally, Statesboro and Islands will both be playing New Hampstead the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Sharks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
