Colorado Springs Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Cosner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Cosner is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't).

Colorado Springs Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. Mary's, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colorado Springs Christian will venture away from home to challenge Front Range Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
