Walkertown waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Caden Joyce and David Olmedo were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Joyce tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Olmedo tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Joyce has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Joyce went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Olmedo went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Olmedo has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Walkertown got a massive performance out of Cam Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Smith has posted since back in February. Devin Blodgett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Walkertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Walkertown's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for T.W. Andrews, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Walkertown will challenge Morehead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. T.W. Andrews does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
