Football Recap: Viera Piles Up the Points Against Seabreeze

Viera was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Seabreeze on Friday. The Hawks took their matchup with ease, bagging a 41-14 win over the Sandcrabs. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Eric Nelson produced another solid performance throwing for 222 yards and two TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 33 yards and one score. Jonah Woodruff also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards.

Viera's defense stepped up as well, laying out JAYCE GAINER four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Viera is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games. As for Seabreeze, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.
