The Lincoln Cougars will challenge the Philip Barbour Colts on Monday. Lincoln will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let East Fairmont get on the board and left with a 29-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Adriana Elder was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Riley Pearlman was incredible, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiah Ford, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Lincoln lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Fairmont didn't launched any home runs.
Philip Barbour had taken Bridgeport down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Colts took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Avery McDaniel put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off 13 hits. McDaniel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Katelyn Cooper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Payton Holbert was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Lincoln's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.2 runs over those games. As for Philip Barbour, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1.
Both Lincoln and Philip Barbour just can't seem to miss. The Cougars have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Philip Barbour struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Lincoln's way against Philip Barbour in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Lincoln made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
