Dunmore hasn't had much luck against Riverside recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bucks will take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Dunmore made easy work of Lakeland and carried off a 17-1 victory. The Bucks haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Mason Stets was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Max Forgione was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-6. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jimmy Clark also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Dunmore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeland only posted an OBP of .231.
Meanwhile, Riverside gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over Honesdale. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Like Dunmore, Riverside also got a great game from a two-way player: Nicholas Bohenek. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Bohenek was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chase Taddonio and Connor McNally did most of the damage at the plate: Taddonio went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while McNally got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cooper Borowski, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Riverside pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Dunmore, their record now sits at 13-3.
Everything went Dunmore's way against Riverside when the teams last played back in April, as Dunmore made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bucks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
