Having just played yesterday, the Hinsdale Adventist Academy Hurricanes will get right back to it and host the College Prep of America Thunder at 6:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hinsdale Adventist Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-16, which was the final score in Hinsdale Adventist Academy's tilt against Morton Grove Academy on Wednesday.
Even though College Prep of America has not done well against Universal recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. College Prep of America enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over Universal. The win was just what College Prep of America needed coming off of a 98-68 defeat in their prior match.
College Prep of America can attribute much of their success to Hamzah Shouman, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds, and Ibrahim Elagha, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Elagha has scored at least 25% of College Prep of America's points.
Universal's victory bumped their season record to 1-5 while Hinsdale Adventist Academy's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
Hinsdale Adventist Academy suffered a grim 58-36 defeat to College Prep of America when the teams last played back in February. Thankfully for Hinsdale Adventist Academy, Fahad Jamal (who scored 21 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
