The West Rowan Falcons will take on the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (West Rowan 1.8, Northwest Guilford 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Northwest Guilford will be up against a hot West Rowan team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. West Rowan narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Robinson 4-2.

Cole Blevins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Brice Knox was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season.
Meanwhile, while Northwest Guilford put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Western Guilford. Northwest Guilford put the hurt on Western Guilford with a sharp 14-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.
Like West Rowan, Northwest Guilford also got a great game from a two-way player: Dylan Bullins. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bullins was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Donovan Smith, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Christian Gentrup was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
The win got Northwest Guilford back to even at 2-2. As for West Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. West Rowan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Northwest Guilford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
West Rowan took their win against Northwest Guilford in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Rowan since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
