Lansing pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Piper 93-64. While losing is never fun, Lansing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Pirates are ranked 16th).
Meanwhile, Bonner Springs beat the Chieftains 58-47 on Friday.
Kalen Streit continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Jackson Nez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lansing has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Bonner Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
